Following the excise taxes on fuel, they began to plan to increase the excise tax on liquefied gas. According to preliminary data, the association OORNU will increase the excise tax on liquefied gas by at least 4 times.

As the Association of Oil Products Market Operators of Ukraine notes, the increase in the excise tax on gas should take place in several stages. So from January 1, 2017, they plan to set a rate of 62 euros per 1000 liters. From April 1, 2017, the price will increase to 93 euros per cubic meter, and the third stage will fall on July 1 - the price will be 125 euros per cubic meter.

This proposal is motivated by the fact that the country's budget will receive a significant amount of money, about UAH 6 billion per year. Also, such a decision on excise tax was made due to the rapid growth in demand for liquefied gas over the past two years, while it is worth considering that the sale of gasoline decreased by 1 billion liters per year. This led to the fact that the country's budget lost about UAH 4 billion per year. Meanwhile, some people from the association believe that if the excise rate on liquefied gas is raised, then it will not be necessary to raise it for high-class diesel fuel Euro-4 and Euro-5. , but this is provided by law. Such an amendment was made to the Tax Code of Ukraine in order to balance budgetary revenues in 2017. According to many experts, increasing the excise tax on diesel fuel will lead to the growth of this fuel by at least 1 UAH / liter.

Following the diesel fuel, the prices for the transportation of goods will rise, as the transport of many carriers runs on diesel. As a result of this excise tax, goods in stores will also rise in price, as was customary, the end consumer will have to pay for all waste and increases in excise taxes.

To date, the excise tax on the production of liquefied gas and its import into the territory of Ukraine is 31 euros per cubic meter. As a result of such a rapid increase in the excise tax, a sharp increase in the retail price can be expected. In advance, private entrepreneurs and taxis warned about a similar rise in the price of their services.
