The car is expected to go on sale closer to mid-2017.

Note that the prerequisites for the appearance of the Stinger model appeared back in 2011, when the Korean auto giant at the Frankfurt Motor Show demonstrated the concept of the GT sedan, which was supposed to be a more affordable alternative to the Mercedes CLS, BMW 5-series and Audi A7 models.

In contrast to the concept, the "Stinger" seen received a more traditional exterior. It is known that the car will be based on the Genesis G80 model, from which it will receive most of the components and assemblies. The basic version of the sedan will be offered with a 3.8-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 311 hp, and the top-end version - with a 3.3-liter biturbo engine with a capacity of 362 hp. For European buyers, the company will prepare a 2.2-liter diesel developing 200 hp Moreover, Kia does not deny that after a while they can present an electric version of the car that can be recharged from the mains.

It is curious that the Korean office of Kia is reluctant to disseminate information about the future novelty - much more data comes from the Australian office of the company, where they claim that the debut of the model is scheduled for the Paris Motor Show, and sales are scheduled for early summer 2017.

The estimated cost of the Kia Stinger will be $ 30-37 thousand, depending on the modification, while it is not known whether the car will reach the Russian consumer.
